instructions
    1

In a bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of mayo, the juice of 1 lime, 2 tablespoons of hot sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste to create the sauce. Set this aside in the fridge to chill for about 10 minutes.

    2

While the sauce is chilling, take the 1 pound of white fish and cut it into strips. In a separate bowl, combine 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper. Coat the fish strips with this seasoning blend thoroughly.

    3

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of oil. Once hot, place the seasoned fish strips into the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the fish is crispy and cooked through.

    4

As the fish cooks, prepare the toppings. Finely shred 1 cup of cabbage and chop 1/2 cup of cilantro. Squeeze the juice of the remaining lime over the cabbage and mix well.

    5

Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for about 30 seconds until soft and pliable.

    6

Once the fish is done and the sauce is chilled, it’s time to assemble the tacos. Take a warm tortilla, add a few strips of fish, top with seasoned cabbage and sprinkle chopped cilantro.

    7

Drizzle a generous amount of the sauce over the top and serve with lime wedges on the side.

How to be creative
  • Try using grilled shrimp instead of fish for a different seafood experience.
  • For a spicy kick, add jalapeños to the toppings.
  • Experiment with different sauces, such as a chipotle mayo or avocado crema for a rich twist.
Important Tips
  • For extra crunch, you can add some sliced radishes on top.
  • If you enjoy a bit of tropical flair, consider adding diced mango to your cabbage mix.
  • Make sure the fish is well-marinated in the spices for at least 10 minutes to enhance the flavor.
