instructions
    1

Start by heating a skillet over medium heat. Once it's hot, place the bacon strips in the skillet. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until crispy. Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel to absorb excess grease.

    2

In the same skillet, keep a tablespoon of the bacon fat to add flavor. If there isn't enough left, add a little butter. Crack the egg into the skillet, being careful not to break the yolk. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper on top. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes until the white is set but the yolk is still runny.

    3

While the egg is cooking, toast the bread slices in another toaster or on the stovetop until golden brown.

    4

Once the egg is cooked to your preference, layer the crispy bacon on one slice of the toasted bread.

    5

Add the cheese on top of the bacon, then carefully place the fried egg on top of the cheese. The heat from the egg will help melt the cheese a bit.

    6

Top the sandwich with another slice of toast, pressing down gently. Slice it in half and serve immediately.
