Indulge in the creamy goodness of homemade Alfredo sauce that's ready in under 30 minutes!
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add 250 grams of fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8 to 10 minutes.
While the pasta is cooking, melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a separate saucepan over medium heat.
Add 2 cloves of minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 to 2 minutes, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream into the saucepan, stirring to combine. Let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Gradually add 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring continuously until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Season the Alfredo sauce with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well.
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and reserve a little pasta water. Add the drained pasta into the sauce and toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is coated in the creamy Alfredo sauce.
If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
Serve immediately, and if desired, garnish with some additional parmesan cheese or freshly cracked black pepper.
