Besan Chilla is a deliciously healthy choice that can flexibly be served any time of the day!
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of chickpea flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds.
Gradually add 1 cup of water while stirring to create a smooth batter.
Finely chop 1/2 onion, 1 green chili, and 1 inch piece of ginger, then add them to the batter.
Chop 1/4 cup of coriander leaves and mix them in as well.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil.
Once the oil is hot, pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan, spreading it into a circular shape.
Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, until it turns golden brown.
Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes with a little oil until the other side is cooked through.
Repeat the process for the remaining batter, adding oil as needed.
